After reading 'The Girl of Ink & Stars' by Kiran Millwood Hargrave,
and getting back into reading I decided I needed more to sink my teeth into. So on Friday 31st March 2017, in between appointments, I had a little wonder around my local Waterstones. Being a primary teacher I headed straight to the back where the children's books are located, I figure reading children's books doesn't only keep me reading but also in the loop as to what is new. I am keen to continually extend my knowledge of children's books so that I can recommend and choose high quality books that I am enthusiastic about as class novels. Plus I do enjoy a good book. (I get my adult book fix, current Lee Child books, in audio book format through Audible - I figure I might as well listen to something in the car and make use of that travel time.)
Seeing the 'Buy One Get One Half Price' offer and having spotted 2 books recommended to me and the sequel to 'Beetle Boy' by M.G.Leonard, I had to complete the offer with a 4th book. I choose 'The Huntress Sea' by Sarah Driver, as it was one recommended and when I read the blurb felt along similar themes to 'The Girl of Ink and Stars' which I loved.

As you will already see my post about 'The Goldfish Boy' by Lisa Thompson, is already up (having started the book on Friday and finished it by Saturday lunchtime). I have dived into 'Beetle Queen' also by M.G.Leonard, next so watch out for the next post.
